We have just doubled the ad images dimension, in order to make our users see the ads more clearly!
Do let us know if there’s anything that we can improve :)
I hope you all are fine and having a great day ahead.
This is just a short notice that we have just split up the “Properties & Rental” into 2 different categories: “Properties” and “Rentals”. We figured that these 2 are quite different from each other, so its better to split them, and easier for user to do a search on either properties sales, or just any rentals.
Just recently we launched our mobile web interface. Users do not required to do anything, just open our website, and it automatically detects your phone and open the Adveryday interface in Mobile mode.
The interface is rather similar: the Adveryday’s style, only its easier for browsing on the mobile phone.
With the technologies keep advancing, Adveryday needs to keep up the pace as well.
We have just updated our Google Map API from V2 to V3. Now the map loads faster and interface is a little bit different.
We hope in this new version of Google Map API, the external plugin from Google will not slow down the loading speed of Adveryday web service. Anyway rest assure that even if that happen, we will fix that to serve you better.
As there are so many types of browsers, platforms available out there to browse the internet, everyone could be seeing the text in the ads differently. In the worst case, the text could be overflow in horizontal or vertical direction.
For this, we have fit in a new feature that can automatically adjust the ads’ text when they are loaded dynamically. Text will be wrapped or truncated if they have exceeded the display area. This correction is consistent across all platforms and browsers, and enhanced the viewing pleasure.
As of our new version of Adveryday, now every new ads will have their expiration dates (from 2 to 12 mths).
The old ads will also be assigned with an expiration date. But how do we decide when is the expiration date for them?
We calculated these expiration date through the creation date of ads. The oldest existing ad will have an expiration date of 6 months, start from 3 Apr 2012. While the newest existing ad will have an expiration date of 18 months start from 3 Apr 2012. The existing ads that in between will be populated proportionally between the oldest and the newest existing ads accordingly.
So much for the explanation :)
Finally! A better, and user friendlier Adveryday is here! We present you the version 5.0.
So what’s new? Let me list down some of the major improvements for your reference :)
And many other features for you to experience :)
As such our service will be down for about 1 – 2 hours, starting from 12am 6 April 2012 (+8). We apologize for any inconvenience cause and please do kindly log out to prevent any data lost.
Adveryday keeps innovating to serve you better :)
Speaking of ‘Classified Ads’, the word ‘classified’ is to indicate that the ads are being categorized. This is necessary, because sometimes people wants to know where to start to look up for what they need, yes, the main categories. However, do people want to look into the categories of categories (sub category), or even the sub sub category?
My guess is not. Too many categories will just confuse the users, and make things become complex. Which is why we have not come out with the sub categories, we want you to search. Simply key in what you need, and tada! Result’s out. Convenient for advertisers as well.
Anyway, we might go into details someday, if things become necessary. Maybe for the SEO purpose, maybe for the better functionality purpose. In either way, Adveryday will stay innovative and brings you the best :)
This is an idea that we have already came out for sometime, and now it is available!
When you are designing a New ad, the system will automatically pick a suitable category for your ad base on the ad content and keywords. If the system cannot tell which category the ad should belong to, the default “Everything else” will be selected.
We cannot tell you that this is 100% accurate, but it definitely will save more of your time. Moreover, we will improve this accuracy over time :)
