Hi,

First of all, we appreciated your interest in using Adveryday.com as a tool to market your online business. Also your talent and persistence in sending the mass email to many of the other Adveryday users. We are sure that you actually aware that this is not an ethical way of marketing your business as this is considered as spamming. Spamming will not gain you any benefits as many users actually dislike it. There are many more effective marketing strategies which you could choose to adopt, in an ethical way.

Many people in this world are eager to increase their wealth. However, our team strongly believes that people who always choose to put others before self deserve the wealth. We hope that we can share this mindset with you and together, let us create a better world for human being to live in.

Lastly, Adveryday team thinks that you are a talented person. Through our log file, you were sending 6 emails per minute, which apparently showed that you might be using some kind of script or automated tool. We will certainly enhance our web service after this incident. However, we sure hope that you would share to us on how you actually did this, if you don’t mind. It would be helpful in our future development.

Thank you for making us grow :)

Warmest Regards,
Adveryday Team

And guess what, he/she did reply our question, and proved our guess wrong:

“i click and manually send email to them.”

It’s a short reply, but we are grateful for that. It will help us in improving our web service :)

“Hi, I’m an Agent”

September 30th, 2010

Hi, I’m not an agent. But, I’m here to discuss about agents in our daily life.

You can find many types of agents in Singapore, for examples, agents for housing, agents for tuitions/jobs, agents for travels, agents for… undeniably, they already become part of our life. I remember when I was looking for a room through an agent a few years ago, I needed to pay extra a few hundred dollar to her. There’s a slight uncomfortable feel run through my guts. Why is that I need to pay extra for finding a simple room? The answer is simple, she helped me find it.

I’m not here to criticize any agents, they are doing what they do best, and indeed some of them do make their clients happy, and find they what they need, and the clients are happily paying them. Agents are general still good, especially for people who have no time to look for what they want. However, I think there are still many people who do not like agents.

If an agent did a job for you for free, I think everyone will be happy; if he/she charged for it, everyone might still be happy or become unhappy; if he/she over charged it, everyone will be very pissed. This is life.

If you do not feel comfortable with agents, you could find what you want on your own. So I asked myself, why can’t I find a room on my own? The answer is funny, because it’s not easy to find a room without involving an agent, I mean almost all the ads that you see on roads, bus stop, internet, etc are posted by agents! Ahha.

Adveryday puts a tag into every ads, to indicate whether the ad is posted by agents or individuals, so you could have a choice. I cannot guarantee you that the information is 100% correct, but we are doing the best we could :)

Super High Bounce Rate!

June 6th, 2010

If you do not understand what is bounce rate, let’s get to it first.

From the wiki:
Bounce Rate = Total Number of Visits Viewing Only One Page / Total Number of Visits

The thing for Adveryday is that it only has 2 pages for a single region site: The ads browsing page and the ad manage page. This means that other than people who posted an ad, most visits to Adveryday is only the main page (one page)!

It’s amusing. While the web2.0′s feature brings people convenience by avoid loading pages and pages, it actually raises the bounce rate tremendously. If you have any idea or opinion about this, please let us know.

Then you might think: Is Adveryday search engine compatible? Will people see my ads as pages through search engine like Google? No worry, Adveryday is totally SEO (Seach Engine Optimization) compatible. Although you are seeing the ads only appear on the single main page of Adveryday, each of them still appears as a single page to search engines, each of them has a permanent unique link. You can find this link when you try to share the ad.

How about a little Amusement?

May 11th, 2010

Today I added a new stuff into the ads: A Joke. Because my wife told me that ads shouldn’t be boring, it can be fun. So I look at the Adveryday interface, and hey I can do that.

Adveryday owns a different and unique interface compare to other classified sites. So this is something that I can make use of, to think out of the box and create wide possibilities. Reading the ads in Adveryday is like reading on a piece of paper, mixing some jokes in it, or even some important news shouldn’t be difficult. Readers can be amused or updated by news a little while looking for what they want among the ads.

If this idea is likable by the users, which is you, it will be adopted into the future development. Please let me know your thoughts :)

I hope this concept will change the way people read ads.
